On the other hand, the produce section was pretty large, with basically the same selection you'd find at a full-size Safeway. It even extended somewhat into the arched portion of the building, whereas Marina produce departments are normally confined to the flat-roof area.
Now here is a Lifestyle produce department! While the lighting in these areas was usually suspect, what you could see looked nice and classy! Now that this look is increasingly becoming quite rare, and obviously this store doesn't exist anymore, we can see really how unique the Lifestyle look is/was. The new store simply cannot match the class presented here, even with the mismatching fake wood flooring!
ReplyDeleteI really do miss Lifestyle v2. Some of Safeway's new decor packages are pretty nice, but like you said, it's really hard to beat this style.
