The front of the aisles is strangely staggered due to the pharmacy and health & beauty department, something I'm not used to from Safeway (which normally sticks to straight actionways). This part of the store had a lot of the grand opening stuff going on, including facepainting (which I didn't take pictures of because there were a lot of kids around and that would be awkward) and someone giving out samples. The self checkout corral is also up here, with a very large number of self checkouts that people generally weren't using on opening day due to the giveaways happening at the regular checkouts.
