The main reason I was at this store on this May day was for the floral department -- I was in the market for a Mother's Day plant, and since that's not something Safeway normally puts on sale, why not buy it on store closing sale? 10% off isn't much, but it's something. My parents still have that plant, and it's even blooming this year for the first time since I bought it in 2022.
