Strangely, instead of the red plastic carts Safeway has been using in recent years, this store got the black metal ones they used in the late 2010s. I guess they're still buying new carts of both styles, for some reason. But the mini carts are even weirder -- they're an entirely new style, with weird angled oval openings, in black plastic. I guess Safeway decided to try out something new at this new store -- but just couldn't give up the old Albertsons influence!
