The space between the pharmacy/floral box and the front entrance is always a bit awkward in Grocery Palace stores, and this one is no exception. On the right is the former Reading Center, with its gooseneck lights still in place and functional; on the left is a bunch of partial-height partitions left over from something (anyone know what used to be here?) partially hidden by the Coinstar and ice machines. (Apparently this store sells both generic and name-brand ice, something I haven't noticed anywhere else!)
In the Grocery Palace store we used to shop at, that area with the partial height walls was the old Dry Cleaners space. I'd have to guess that's what this was too, unless Albertsons did something different with this space out west.
