All-purpose actionway A

The right-hand side of the store is home to the grocery actionway, which includes a weird mix of the bakery and meat departments. Some Walmarts have separate alcoves for the separate departments, but I think this is their current design, with everything in the same space. I see Walmart has taken a page out of Kroger's book and simply doesn't have an aisle (A)1 in this store!

  1. Sometimes it is hard to tell scale from a photo, but those look like some massive aisle markers! Given how big they are, I'm surprised they didn't use bigger or bolder lettering, but maybe they figured it was visible enough with the color contrast. Given the size of those aisle markers (presumably), I hope they are quite well tethered!

Speaking of which, maybe I've already mentioned this, but some of the Artisan aisle markers at my local Krogertsons are already starting to fall apart. I'm guessing this isn't such a problem for Walmart.

Are those glass bottles on that endcap display? If so, it looks like they might have some unexpected cleanups with the way things are sitting there!

    1. Airport got its name because Walmart claimed it was inspired by airport terminal signage. I've never been sure what exactly that translated into in the decor, but part of it is probably the massive size of much of the signage they used!

I'm not sure what that is, but I certainly hope it isn't something breakable!
