Save Mart kept Albertsons' open ceiling grid under the soffit, something that has frequently gone missing in surviving Grocery Palaces -- and it's in pretty much perfect condition too, unlike some other stores! This area looks a lot less dark and tunnel-like here than in other stores I've seen, despite the grid -- I think Save Mart installed brighter lighting at some point.
