All of the reconfiguration around here led to a lot of holes and trenches through the floor. Thankfully, these weren't permanent eyesores in this case, unlike at a lot of stores that have remodeled recently (I'm looking at you, Kroger)! I'm not a huge fan (OK, not a fan at all) of the cheap white vinyl floors Safeway tends to use, but at least they're better than the mess this store would have been if they had gone with plain concrete floors.
