Hmm.

Nearby was a giant floor plan, clearly intended to show shoppers what dates certain areas of the store were going to be under construction, but no one had bothered to fill any of it out. How typical. There are a few helpful notes on here, though -- it is clearly labeled "Decor - Warm Modern" ("Warm Modern" is a name sometimes used on official documents, but seems to be completely interchangeable with "Modern"), so those Lifestyle v3 photos appear to be a red herring, and the project title mentions a "new inventory sorting system", whatever that means, so I guess that's the purpose of the re-remodel. Between that name and the big warehouse/stockroom space (shown as phase 4B on the poster) that they were apparently building, I'm pretty sure the idea was to make this store a hub for Safeway's delivery operations, which would make sense since this is the largest store in the area (plenty of space to spare) and is fairly centrally located. However, I'm not sure how much use this has really gotten since it was built, since Safeway has strongly pivoted to emphasizing Drive Up & Go in recent years, rather than delivery like they did in the late 2010s.
