The big triangular window above the doors is still there too, looking a bit odd with Safeway's arched facade -- though it seems that it would have looked similarly odd with Max Foods' arched entrance! Considering the near-identical design at the former Drug Emporium next door (and the fact that Max Foods seems to have topped out at 3 locations), I'm guessing the design is something the shopping center dictated rather than any sort of Max/Olson standard.
