Bottoming out

Returning to the ground floor also means returning to the busyness, a big change from the closed (for good or just for a few more hours) restaurants that dominate the upper levels! Despite the fancy queuing systems the service departments have, Eataly doesn't have any good solution for checkout lines, leading to this chaotic scene that's even worse than an understaffed Safeway (then again, it's easy to form an orderly line when there's only one checkout to line up for!). It's interesting seeing that very residential-looking stand mixer being used in the central bakery kiosk -- Eataly probably sells mixers like that in their kitchenware section!
