Black Friday in July? Get back in there

I'm guessing this design dates back to the Bon Marche (or at least Bon Macy's) era, since it has a real 90s look to it with the intermittent ceiling tile and purple stained concrete. Still, it's a Bon Marche relic that I wouldn't mind too much if it went away! I have no idea what's up with the diamond-plate metal forming part of the actionway flooring, but it's pretty bad too. Even stranger is all of the "Black Friday special" signage -- remember, this visit was in July, which is almost as far from Black Friday as you can get! I get that COVID disrupted a lot of things, but I have no idea what was going on with all of that.
