Organic stuff

Back in the central section, up next is a kiosk dedicated to organic ("biologica") products of some sort. In the foreground (right next to the person using a walker) is one of the produce scales -- these are a lot more elaborate than what you'd see in the produce department at a typical American grocery store because you weigh your produce yourself and print out a sticker from the machine, much like the scales deli workers use in stores over here, so the cashier just has to scan the sticker rather than weighing everything. I know some stores in the US do this sort of thing, but it's never really caught on, probably because the chains over here don't trust customers not to cheat the system. (Though it's basically the same idea as self checkout, which is much more common here than in Italy, so... 🤷‍♂️)
