Reviewing these pictures, I was surprised to see the display of "Product of U.S.A." walnuts at the end of the produce department! Walnuts originated from the Middle East and Mediterranean, so it's surprising for Italy (and especially Eataly) to import theirs all the way from over here -- and even more surprising for Eataly to put them on display in their English-language packaging, since pretty much everything in this store is in Italian. I wasn't looking particularly closely, but the only other American product I noticed was some smoked salmon with obvious Coast Salish imagery on its packaging (sadly, it wasn't actually from any local company I recognized).
