Buggy corner

On the other hand, my favorite thing about Woodgrain Lifestyle has nothing to do with the woodgrain part -- it's the extra local flair and other illustrations present throughout the store, filling in much of the blank space that Lifestyle is infamous for. In the back right corner, between produce and meat, there's a nice illustration of dune buggies driving around on the sand dunes that are one of the biggest attractions in this part of the Oregon Coast.

Aside from the Oregon Coast dune buggy decor, there are some strange things going on in this photo. The hat being worn by the Safeway employee in the back looks like it has a round Safeway logo rather than the roundish square logo that Safeway uses now. That almost makes the logo look like the pre-1981 version of the Safeway logo!

Also, what's the story with the orange wet floor sign? I'm used to wet floor signs, even those pylon shaped ones, being yellow, not orange. I suppose orange works well enough, but that does look a bit strange. We won't even get into the ugly floor again, lol.

    1. Huh, that does look a lot like the classic circle-S logo! I have no clue what's going on there!

I don't know -- wet floor cones like that are most commonly yellow, but I've seen other colors before, including orange like that and even fluorescent yellow-green. Compared to all the other weirdness in this store, I'll give that a pass!
