Eataly was all in easter mode, with advertisements all over for colomba and chocolate eggs. Both of those are things that I was interested in buying, but they turned out to be very expensive at Eataly, with the cheapest options being 2-3x what I paid for mid-range ones at Tigre. Eataly even had special easter hours listed -- it's a legal holiday (including the following Monday) in Italy, not a purely religious one like it is here which I've never seen businesses close for.
Businesses don't close for Easter in Washington? Or you mean you've never seen businesses close for a legal holiday? Regardless, plenty of stores back East, like Target, Lowe's, and Publix, all close for Easter Sunday.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty much unheard-of for stores to close for easter around here, especially the big chain stores that normally only close for thanksgiving and christmas, if even that. I suppose Costco might since they have a much longer list of holidays that they close for, but for the most part, it's just a normal Sunday.
