Eataly was all in easter mode, with advertisements all over for colomba and chocolate eggs. Both of those are things that I was interested in buying, but they turned out to be very expensive at Eataly, with the cheapest options being 2-3x what I paid for mid-range ones at Tigre. Eataly even had special easter hours listed -- it's a legal holiday (including the following Monday) in Italy, not a purely religious one like it is here which I've never seen businesses close for.

  1. Businesses don't close for Easter in Washington? Or you mean you've never seen businesses close for a legal holiday? Regardless, plenty of stores back East, like Target, Lowe's, and Publix, all close for Easter Sunday.

    1. It's pretty much unheard-of for stores to close for easter around here, especially the big chain stores that normally only close for thanksgiving and christmas, if even that. I suppose Costco might since they have a much longer list of holidays that they close for, but for the most part, it's just a normal Sunday.
