Back outside

There's really not much to see on the exterior of a store like this, especially since I ended up here after dark. (That's the trouble with traveling at this time of year -- not a lot of hours of daylight!) The cart situation at this store is a bit odd -- you have to pull the cart all the way out of the store before you can bring it inside, dragging it across a rather steep ramp (definitely not ADA compliant! 😉) in the process. The dog hooks next to the door are a bit odd too -- I can't imagine leaving a dog alone out on the sidewalk in Rome, of all places! I hate the font Carrefour used for that sign and the hours sign above it.

Things are certainly looking a bit 'ruff' around here with the paint on the walls and the litter on the ground over by the parked cars. Granted, given the age of the buildings, I suppose a little worn paint is nothing.

Hopefully the weather was nicer where your parents were today eclipse than it was in Houston because we totally had a Seattle weather day here, extremely overcast and scattered light rain. The temperature was nice at least! With weather like this, the Washington Subaru crowd in Houston will feel like they are at home!

    1. As I alluded to in the Eataly set earlier, this is pretty much just what Italy looks like! I guess even stores like Carrefour just stick their garbage on the sidewalk. At least there wasn't a garbage strike while I was there this time!

Ha! We had typical Seattle weather too, so I didn't get to see the partial eclipse, but it sounds like they had pretty good views from Temple -- not as good as we had in Idaho last time, but still good enough.
