This store appears to have been built sometime in the 70s, but it's almost impossible to tell that today thanks to a major remodel and expansion circa 2010. That was when the very cool current facade, with its Marina-like arched design and lots of windows, was installed, and the interior was completely rearranged at that time too -- I had no idea until looking at historic aerials that this store dates back that far!
Technically speaking, I believe this store isn't in Marina del Rey proper, which is an unincorporated enclave within the city of Los Angeles, and is instead within a neighborhood of Los Angeles that's also called Marina del Rey. It's all a bit confusing, as with pretty much everything related to Los Angeles jurisdictional boundaries!
