This store started its life in the 60s as a Marina Safeway like so many others. I'm not sure when Safeway moved out, but the current facade was installed in 2008 or 2009 by a chain called Mi Pueblo Food Centers, which had already occupied the space for some time. In 2018, Cardenas, another local, Hispanic-oriented grocery chain, took over this store (along with most of the Mi Pueblo chain), but apart from sticking their name on the front, it appears that very little has changed from the Mi Pueblo era.
