Marketing nutrition

The back wall of produce has another slogan, one that reads a bit strangely -- "market" doesn't seem like the right verb there, and "available for your nutritional needs" is a strange phrase. Maybe "available" is supposed to go with "the best produce" and the line break is just in an awkward place, but I would think that from a marketing perspective they would just want to say "the best produce" without any qualifiers. I don't really know. The displays in front are also odd, seemingly being a mix of normal Albertsons long tables and Safeway Lifestyle squares, but somehow with matching woodgrain finishes. This view also shows the floor patches closer up, showing how they are the same lighter, narrower vinyl planks that PF&H normally used.

I think that sentence is grammatically correct. They are using 'market' as a synonym for sell. Now, any ordinary person would probably just say 'sell', but perhaps 'market' is a little fancier sounding. It doesn't sound any less capitalistic though if that was their goal, lol. A lot of grocers try to sound like a community service rather than a business so maybe Albertsons was trying to be a little honest in their statement! The 'nutritional needs' part sounds okay to me. If they were putting that in the bakery or something, it might be more bizarre, but I think it is a word that fits with produce.

Usually you don't see sentences like that in decor, but I don't mind it that much. It feels like a classy, elegant thing thing to say in a decor package which is trying to be elegant. The missing 'S' from 'Specialty Breads' at the bakery might ruin the elegance a bit though! Also, the woman in front of the bakery appears to be giving you a death stare! It's more visible in the other bakery photo than here, but the fact that it is visible here even with her being far off in the distance in this photo is pretty funny!

    1. Yeah, I think it works grammatically, but I still think it sounds weird!

I noticed that person in the other picture, but I hadn't realized they were glaring at me in this one too! Hopefully that's just their normal face (like it is for me) and they weren't actually ticked off at me for taking these pictures! Oh well, they didn't say anything, so it doesn't matter.
