There's a small sign on the meat backsplash that describes Chef's Express as being "Restaurant[-]Style Entrees", which sounds like it would be describing the prepared foods section, but that's all the way on the other side of the store. Maybe the name originally referred to pre-seasoned/ready-to-cook meat items, which are still in the vicinity of the sign, just without any brand name of their own any longer. I'm also not sure what's up with the extremely-generic Quality Meats sign next to it, which looks like something from an independent grocery store, not a giant chain like Kroger!
