How many different script fonts can you fit in one picture?

I'm not sure what's going on with the bakery here -- the tall donut cases (and an extension of the produce case) sit in front of the opening to the service department, while the service case sits partially in front of a blank wall. I'm guessing it didn't always look this strange! Between that, the falling-over b in the sign, and the TV displaying some sort of error message, this is definitely one of the less presentable parts of this store. At least the cool decor makes up for it.

Huh, well, at least those tall donut cases are covering up a Sincerely sign on the bakery wall! But, yeah, the way this bakery is set up kind of looks like what happens when a discount grocer moves into a building left behind by a nicer grocer! It doesn't look too terrible, though I can't really see the error on the TV, but it does look like Albertsons has downsized this bakery's operations at some point. It is also much less fancier looking than the typical Safeway Lifestyle bakeries which are somewhat evoked by this decor's color scheme!

Speaking of Lifestyle, Lifestyle v2 specifically, a former Randall's building in the Houston area is for sale! When this Randall's was closed some years ago, it was left with the Lifestyle v2 decor intact and an Indo-Pak grocer moved in and used the Safeway decor. Now it is empty again and most of the Lifestyle v2 decor is still around. This is in a pretty wealthy suburb of Houston, but one with strongly Asian, especially South Asian, demographics so it is a weird area for traditional grocers and there are many Indo-Pak groceries in the area so it wouldn't be easy for a new competitor like that to join the competition. With all of that, the building is only selling for $8,000,000 and it has been on the market for a few months now so the actual price might be less. So, hey, if you want to buy a Safeway, here's a cheap way to do it! Link: https://partnersrealestate.com/listings/5800-NewTerritoryBlvd-SugarLand-TX-77479/

    1. Ha, yeah, that's a plus! I agree, this does look a lot like a cheaply covered-over service department, something I've even seen Albertsons do to their own stores, though it's strange to see them only partially cover it up, especially when there is a low case on the right that could have been in front of the department opening instead.

Ha! I'd love to have some Lifestyle v2 stuff, but I don't exactly have 8 million dollars laying around to spend on it 😃
