Finally, after all that, we get to the actual produce department -- which, at least to my eyes, looks quite large already! The fixtures here seem to have been replaced at some point, replacing Albertsons' long displays with Safeway's square fixtures, which is probably why the floor is a bit of a patchy mess. 

It's honestly a bit frustrating to look at such an interesting (and upscale) decor package in a store that's as messy as this one is! It's difficult to decouple my feelings about the decor from the way everything else looks. And on the other hand, I've been in a lot of stores that were much more of a mess than this, but which had decor to match -- either being vintage or very cheap. The second half of this set will be a bit better in terms of matching the decor to the store.
