The choice to run all of the refrigeration lines to the freezers overhead, exposed to the salesfloor, is also a bit iffy (though I suppose it's not like the ceiling would have looked all that much better without them). It used to be that you could easily tell how old grocery store cases were just by what they look like, but the frozen cases here are the exact same design Safeway used in the east Port Angeles store that they built 20 years ago, so I guess things don't change much anymore! At least these doors aren't as flimsy as the modern-looking ones that have become popular for refrigerated cases in recent years.
