I mentioned earlier that I really don't like the look of the archways that are interspersed in the grand court's structure, and looking at them again, I think it's because of how heavy they look compared to the light structure throughout the rest of the space. Of course, if they were a seismic (or other structural) retrofit thing as is my guess, the lightness of the overall structure would be the reason they're here in the first place. Either way, I'm just glad they aren't present at Southcenter!
