In the past, I always avoided nighttime photography because of how terrible those photos looked with either of my past two cameras. Thankfully, my new one is far superior -- it isn't perfect, and I had to bump up the brightness a little bit with this photo, but I feel like the pictures it took looked remarkably close to what I was seeing in real life even if I would have liked them to be a bit brighter, and they're obviously a huge improvement over the awful blurring from the iPod Touch or bizarrely low resolution of the iPhone 6S camera (which I don't think I ever bothered taking any nighttime retail photos with). In this case, I was very happy I visited after dark, for reasons we'll see at the very end of this set!
As for the store itself, on the outside, it's a fairly typical 2010s/2020s grocery store. Raley's is a fairly small chain so I don't believe they have prototypical exterior designs, but there's nothing too special here.
