This store was built in 1998, and most recently remodeled sometime in the early 2010s (prior to 2012 is all I can tell). I remember it having the Albertsons Marketplace/Santa Fe decor package at some point (at least, I'm pretty sure it's this store I'm thinking of), which is one of my favorite "older" Albertsons decor packages and which is sadly now extinct in the Pacific Northwest as far as I can tell. Since my exterior pictures are garbage, this is the only one I'm posting of the store; for a better look, here's the Street View.
As you can tell, I ended up taking these pictures at night, and, obviously, my iPod camera wasn't exactly happy with that. While the PF&Hv3 decor package is quite common in many areas -- in fact, it's the dominant decor package found in Oregon -- most Albertsons stores in Washington received the first version instead, making both v2 and v3 quite rare in the Puget Sound region. Since this store is one of the very few Albertsons that I ever set foot in before I started this project (we're a very Safeway loyal family for whatever reason), I really wanted to visit this store in particular, but I ran into a bit of a problem -- Kitsap Transit doesn't run any weekend service in Kingston! As a workaround, I managed to sneak away from my parents while we were having dinner nearby on my way home for some holiday (as I've mentioned before, they don't know about this project of mine), which meant taking pictures after dark and also led to a rather rushed tour of this store. So apologies in advance for the subpar (even by my low standards 🙂) photos here!
