The vertical interior signs have the same mini logos on the cross-bracing above that we saw above the service departments inside the store -- seems like someone was very invested in this subtle design element! It's a nice touch in those interior uses, similar to Proto-Lifestyle's use of the logo as a repeating background element, but in this case, it just feels overly repetitive, especially given the sheer number of signs this store has along its street-facing sides.
Side note, tomorrow's probably going to be an off day for me, since I'm going to be at a concert all afternoon (Garbage and Metric!), but I'll be back on Saturday!
Garbage and Metric? That sounds like a 1970s rant against the change to the Metric system! You better keep your Safeway Metric conversion chart handy! Link: https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/FfcAAOSwZTlfc1cn/s-l1200.jpg
ReplyDeleteSeriously, I am familiar with Garbage. Given that they're old enough that I know who they are, I'm a bit surprised that you'd be interested in them, lol. I guess they'll like Seattle if they're still only happy when it rains! Anyway, enjoy the concert!
Ha! I mostly like their 2000s stuff and their most recent article, but they mostly played their 90s stuff at the concert, oh well. They definitely played that song, even though it was a bright and sunny day (thankfully, since it was an outdoor concert)!
DeleteOh, the 70s, when people actually thought we'd be using the metric system... ironically, about the only thing I use metric for is cooking, but specifically for weight, not the units on that chart!
Enjoy the concert!
ReplyDeleteThanks! It was great!
