Peppers for life

It's pretty cool that not only is the Lifestyle v1 peppers sign still hanging on, it's still accurate! Save-On brought in their own cases for most of the produce department, but the wall case is still being used in the classic Safeway way, with one angled deck of produce and all of the price tags on the top trim. I have a huge nostalgic soft spot for this setup, but I will admit that it looks like something straight out of the 60s or 70s (especially with all the mirrors everywhere), and it's honestly bizarre that Safeway was still using this setup (even in brand new stores) all the way up until the Albertsons merger. It's just so spatially inefficient, and ever since Albertsons changed the stores down here stores to use a normal multi-shelf setup, they've had more room than they know what to do with, despite still having a very large selection of produce.
