I was about to start grumbling about how much I hate it when cities put street suffixes on Broadways (just a silly pet peeve of mine) and how I was surprised a major city like San Francisco would have done that... but then I looked it up and San Francisco's Broadway is just Broadway, the way it should be, and it's Safeway that messed this one up! I really have to wonder what the decor contractors were thinking with this one. Off in the background, you can see what happens when Safeway actually schedules an appropriate number of cashiers to handle the number of shoppers -- my Safeway today (and most times when I visit it) had at least as many people waiting, but all in one line for the single register that was open.
Yeah, well, Houston has both a Broadway Street and a Broadway Avenue! Broadway Ave. is just a residential street in a low income area so it is hardly anything that would show up on a Safeway sign, lol. Broadway Street is a major road, albeit in an older part of town. Broadway St. terminates at Hobby Airport (HOU), the smaller of Houston's two airports with international commercial service, so you could fly there from Seattle. Granted, you probably wouldn't want to given your Broadway pet peeve, lol.
ReplyDeleteYikes! That's even worse than Seattle, with Broadway and Broad Street!
