With the flat-roofed section being very small on this side of the store, the deli sticks out into the arched portion of the building (with the transition awkwardly happening in the middle of the sign) and even blocks part of the glass facade, something Safeway thankfully did a fairly good job of hiding on the exterior. This store, like most of the remodeled Safeways I visited on this trip, has an expanded prepared foods department compared to the Lifestyle days (it's interesting to see how things have moved on over the past 20 years, since Lifestyle was considered innovative for its prepared foods offerings!), with a pair of large TVs acting as menu boards, as is all too common these days.
