Meat & Seafood, in the round

The most elaborate decor here belongs to the meat counter, with practically every inch of its soffit covered by a pair of oval signs, a pair of Quality Selection signs, and, right in the middle, another big curved sign tower thing. It would have been quite interesting to see Safeway try to apply this decor to a typical store, since the signs that are its centerpiece require a corner for them to sit on! This decor also marks the last time Safeway used different colors for specific departments until Lifestyle v3, over a decade later -- note the blue for seafood, red for meat, and in the distance, yellow for dairy.

Interesting that the little black dots, at least some of them, which sit between the ceiling and the soffits on those cables have the Safeway logo on them!
