As if I walked straight through that closed grate, we now find ourselves in the remaining mall portion of Broadway Market. The elevators on the right lead down to the parking garage, though I'm not sure how you're supposed to get to them after checking out with the new security setup; interestingly, the one on the far right has doors both to the mall side and the store side, something that I imagine became rather awkward when QFC stopped being open 24 hours, and I wish I could have tested to see if they had done anything to prevent people from using it to enter the store from the mall side, but the whole elevator was out of service at the time. (I'm really hoping they didn't decide to just do that to prevent it from being used in that way...)
