There were very few cars in the parking lot when I was here, but someone still decided they needed to park in the accessible space's access aisle... 🤦♂️
Anyway, this store is pretty generic looking on the outside, even if it's a bit different from the stores I'm used to seeing on this side of the border -- especially since it has just one central entrance, rather than two entrances towards the sides as is typical for Washington Safeways of this era.
Ha, I guess Honda Civics must be the Subarus of Vancouver as three of the four cars in this photo are Civics!
ReplyDeleteThis is a rather un-Safeway looking store. You're right to say that this looks a bit like an Albertsons rather than a Safeway. The parking along the front of the store is a Safeway trademark, at least up to a certain point in the 1980s or 1990s, though maybe this store has a limited parking lot and needed to maximize the space to get as many spots as possible. The badly parked SUV might be used to that situation even if that probably wasn't necessary at the time this photo was taken, lol.
Ha! I didn't notice any specific trends in terms of popular types of cars (not that I was paying much attention), but I did notice that on average, they tend to have much newer cars in Vancouver than we do in Seattle!
