The Guest Services sign is similarly located on that lower soffit, and looks quite cramped with the lettering nearly touching the ceiling -- Modern has a smaller font option (which I've seen in quite a few lower-ceiling stores), so I wonder why they didn't us that here. And on the topic of fonts, is it just me, or does the font for "Graduation" on that one balloon look rather similar to Kroger's Banner font?
Not only does the font on the balloon look like Kroger Banner, but the very white front end reminds me of some modern Kroger decor packages! I was at a Remix store today (it's not that bad on the whole...the spoon cart on the front of the store is a different matter!) that had a very white and plain looking front end kind of like this. Normally I would complain about such things, but this store has a concrete floor and kind of poor lighting so the brighter colors of Remix versus Bountiful like it had does brighten up the store and make it look a tad less dingy. Still, the overly plain front end design does look, well, overly plain!
ReplyDeleteYeah, this store is certainly not one of the better examples of Modern! In this case, I think the lack of the wood trim is really hurting it, since that's the only pop of color this area would have.
