Stepping inside

As with most of Safeway's recent remodels, this one was fairly cheap, with lots of reminders of this store's Proto-Lifestyle past left in place... but Safeway loves to surprise, and unlike in every other remodeled Safeway, they splurged on the flooring here, installing proper Modern woodgrain flooring in the produce and floral departments! Previously, this store had bland grey flooring in this part of the store, so this is a definite upgrade, and it's nice to see flooring that actually matches the decor this time. Unfortunately, this is about the only place where they splurged, so there's still a bunch of different, clashing woodgrain styles throughout this store.
