Over in the Bistro area itself, the decor is a bit strange, with only the angled wall section actually having its paint scheme, rather than a large section of the deli as I'm used to seeing. It also has two of the vertical projecting signs in that very small area, with one of them being right up against the wall. And it's also a bit strange to see the beverage decor inside the seating area, though the case itself isn't new.
I'm not exactly sure where someone is supposed to have a seat. On top of the soda cases? In the beverages cooler? On top of the chips?
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing this might well be the last generation of decor with 'Have a seat' signs, lol. Then again, Kroger does like to surprise sometimes.
I'm not exactly sure where in the store this deli counter is, but it almost looks like the kind of placement I'd expect from a Greenhouse store! They'd put their version of a 'Have a Seat' area and the deli in such a corner of the store.
Yeah, at the time of this visit, Fred Meyer still hadn't reopened their seating areas (they since have in most stores, unlike Safeway). I wouldn't be surprised if they were to drop the area, or at least the name, in the future.
DeleteBelieve it or not, this is pretty much dead center in the store! The wall in the back of the area is the wall dividing the two salesfloors, and the sushi department is next to the corridor to the general merchandise area.
Have a seat is still alive and well in artisan! Love the photo title too :P
ReplyDeleteThat's right, I had forgotten about that! And thanks!
