While the checkouts themselves remain unchanged from the Safeway era, the new register lights are unlike anything I've seen in the US, being complex curved shapes (not the plain cubes that are so common these days) with the numbers facing people lining up for the register, not people walking in the front actionway as with virtually every decor package I've ever seen. As odd as they are, I quite like them, and they're quite a bit fancier than I would have expected from this decor package!
