With 16 aisles, this store is a good bit bigger than the average local Safeway, which is probably why it got some relatively deluxe features that other stores simply don't have space for. But that aisle 16 marker is notable in more than just that way -- it's quite funny to see a "pastry" plaque for the bakery mixed in with all the liquor categories!
