A rare shot of the back of the soffit trim

I'm not entirely sure what I was intending this photo to be, but it looks cool with the angled soffit poking into the top of the view! Also, yikes, looking at the endcap display, regular milk today is nearly as expensive as fancy, glass-bottle milk was just a year ago!

  1. Well, that comment about milk prices made me do a comparison! It seems that milk prices in the Federal Way area, which is where I did my comparison, are okay as long as one shops at Fred Meyer where a gallon of FM brand 2% is $3.39. This compares to Kroger brand 2% in Houston which is $3.09, but at least Fred Meyer is cheaper than QFC which is at $3.59.

Safeway is looking very expensive here. They want $3.59 for Value Corner and $3.89 for Lucerne, but there is a 50 cent coupon for the Lucerne so I suppose that helps bring it to Fred Meyer levels. Randall's in Houston wants $3.49 for Lucerne 2%, but the same 50 cent coupon is there so it is $2.99. Huh, Randall's is the cheapest of all the options! Now that is newsworthy information here in Houston!

    1. In my part of Seattle, both Safeway and QFC are charging $3.69/gallon. I went looking more broadly, and the cheapest is actually Target, at $2.99 -- Walmart charges $3.22! That's a bit of a shock for me -- Target's prices on fresh items historically haven't been very competitive!
