Welcome to the Madison Safeway!

This store was built in 2004, making it one of Safeway's early experiments with mixed-use stores -- a little newer than my local Safeway, and while its layout is still a bit strange, it's nowhere near as messed up as the Uptown location! As of my first visit in 2018, it appeared that very little had changed since it was built; that has since changed, though, and we'll get to see the results of the remodel soon enough. But for now, it's that time of the year when I like to pull some of my oldest sets out of the depth of my backlog, so it's time to travel back almost exactly four years, to August 2018.
