One obvious sign that a store got at least a somewhat fancy PF&H remodel is the cases on the inside of the produce department being on an angle, sometimes with some of the cases within the department being angled to match. Having aisles at weird angles seems to have been a bit of a trend in 00s retail design, with the extremely strange layout of Rite Aid's Diamond Windows stores being perhaps an early precursor to that and Safeway's Lifestyle produce departments being another example; I honestly miss that now that trends have shifted back towards a more standard grid pattern.
