The Monorail's Westlake station was formerly just a narrow platform with minimal protection from the weather that was tacked on to the mall seemingly as an afterthought, but over the past few years it's been largely rebuilt into a much larger and grander station. This upgrade was largely funded by the Climate Pledge Arena developers, as the Monorail's other end is quite close to the arena and it functions as a nice, fairly direct connection to the light rail network. Parking is fairly tight at the new arena -- I often see spaces going for $50+ on event nights -- so I'm guessing this is a fairly popular option -- especially since tickets to hockey games include a free ticket on the Monorail!
