Chalkboard art seems to be a very common thing in Canadian Safeway stores (probably another Sobey's thing), and this store has some quite nice pieces -- there's one in the previous pictures for LGBT Pride (it appears that Davie is one of Vancouver's Gayborhoods), and I'm quite impressed by the one here featuring Indigenous art (Canadian First Nations, or what we would call Native Americans). I was quite impressed by the amount of First Nations art and cultural stuff I saw in Vancouver -- way more than I'm used to in the US, where people would probably call it "cultural appropriation", a concept that always annoyed my Native American (Klallam) friends in Port Angeles who wanted to see their culture become more widely known.
