As far as I can tell, Campeón Market is a complete one-off, so it's no surprise they developed their signage to work with the existing building design (and sign frames, as seen in the first photo) -- a real difference from Safeway, which often seems to struggle with putting their signage on former Albertsons! The exterior design here looks a good bit like the Haggen we were just looking at, with colored concrete block walls and corrugated metal (yuck) accents, paired with the gabled design that was very common for Albertsons during the time they were building so many stores around here.
