Turning to the right, here's a distant view of the liquor department, including the best view of its wall sign that the high shelving allows. Looks like Safeway decided to separate out the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during the remodel, unless the new signage is just ignoring the small wine section in aisle 12 (and speaking of aisle markers, this store gained an aisle in the remodel, with the one closest in the aisle now having a sign; I wonder if they even bothered to install plaques on the wall side of that sign since it looks like it was installed very close to the soffit). It's amusing to see all of the non-matching lighting types here -- track lights next to the liquor shelves (which probably made more sense with the shorter shelving the aisle would have had when this store first got Lifestyle), older eggcrate fixtures around the perimeter, semi-decorative linear fixtures over the main aisles which would have been installed shortly after the Albertsons merger, and the new industrial-looking linear fixtures over aisle 14.
