Before I head out, I'll leave you with one last oddity -- the books and magazines department, in its own enclosed alcove next to the entryway. Not sure what's up with that. Off to the right is this side's entryway, which has a little vestibule space, with yet another different ceiling type -- exposed ceiling trusses painted black (or left unpainted). This is the only part of the store that I feel has a noticeable 80s flair, even though the whole large salesfloor seems to have been built in the 80s (I suppose you could argue that the Paraline is 80s too, but that has always felt more 70s to me).
