Most of the lighting in this store comes from spotlights of various types, which gives a very nice upscale look in person but absolutely does not come across well on camera. However, I do remember these edge departments looking quite dark in person -- I don't categorically dislike dark ceilings, but relatively low dark ceilings like this aren't a particularly great look in my opinion. The main point of this picture, however, was the "The Best Gifts" decor in the foreground, which looks quite nice with those paper things hanging from a fake branch. The colorful circles on the column behind are also part of the christmas decorations.
