Each floor of this store has a very different feel to it -- I suspect Nordstrom used this store's major remodel as an experiment to test out various concepts, since being in the same building as their HQ makes it easy to evaluate designs! The top floor, largely home to housewares (despite what the directory shows), has wood flooring and a mix of ceiling types (white drywall ceilings in the middle, and dark open ceilings around the perimeter).
An open ceiling at a department store?! Ugh. Well, at least the floors look nice. If this had open ceilings and tile scarred concrete floors like my local JCPenney, I would have been really, really upset!
