Speaking of things that look like they're from the 80s or 90s, my parents still have quite a few things from that era that look very much like the rug here! I'm not complaining -- bold colors and patterns are a very nice change of pace from what I'm used to in modern department store decor. In the background, the set of fitting rooms on the left has some interesting art in it, though I obviously wasn't about to take a closer picture of the fitting rooms! 🙂
That rug looks like one of those 'Magic Eye' images that you have to stare into and then you see some kind of other image. Maybe you remember what I'm talking about. It was kind of a 1990s thing so it might be before your time, lol.
